Spread the word

Tell your colleagues. Tell your friends. Tell your family. Tell perfect strangers. Tell the whole world wide web about SAFE. Because everyone, everywhere, needs to know that if our past is to have a future, we must start saving it today. Here’s how:

  • Join SAFEConnect—The Cultural Heritage Network and connect with others also concerned about preserving cultural heritage worldwide. The more you talk abouth the issues the more awareness we raise.
  • Follow us on Twitter, tweet and retweet
  • Link to our web site and our SAFECorner blog on your site and blog, and write about us and our work
  • Forward our SAFE News & Updates newsletters to your mailing list
  • Follow us on Facebook and invite your friends to join and like our pages
  • Broadcast SAFE’s YouTube channel to your friends to tune them into interviews with those working to save antiquities and to see videos of how the public and SAFE work together to spread the word
  • Use SAFE’s Flickr photos to show your friends SAFE’s initiatives in action
  • Invite others to sign up for SAFE’s news feed that allows them to stay up-to-date on the latest news involving the protection of the world’s antiquities

Among the thousands of artifacts still missing since the looting of the National Museum of Iraq is this ivory plaque Lioness Attacking a Nubian, 8th c. BC. it is considered to be one of the masterpieces from the museum's collection.
