Candlelight Vigil for the Iraq Museum in Vancouver, BC

Place: Onyx Studios, 405 West 5th Avenue (at Yukon), Vancouver BC

Time: 7-8:30pm

Program: People will meet at the studio at 7pm, and we will watch Donny George Youkhanna’s video Invite and have a half hour introduction about the looting of the Baghdad Museum. We will then light candles and share a moment of silence. Snacks and open discussion about the repercussions of looting and how this impacts us culturally, socially and how we can garner further awareness to globally and locally protect our cultural heritage. Candles at this event will be donated by The Mystic Masala.
